Think for yourself: Six stunningly cool watches from independent watch brands
There is always something special about independent replica watch sales brands.
The world of horology has changed dramatically since the Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants (or AHCI as it is better known) was founded in 1985, and Harry Winston and the hugely influential Maximilian Büsser launched the Opus collection. Some of the key moments of the term's emergence are listed.
For regular readers and collectors, most of you are probably familiar with this incredible group of individuals (or brands). What's special is that most of these brands operate independently, unlike conglomerates that must report to owners and shareholders - many would prefer brands to take a more conservative approach to ensuring profitability (no mistake, but a bit something wrong) sometimes boring).
Given the autonomy, we've seen some pretty incredible watches over the years. In this week's post, we thought we'd take the opportunity to celebrate this group of people and some of their amazing work.best Quality replica Watches
Ferdinand Bertou FB1L Ferdinand Berthoud is an interesting project of Karl-Friedrich Scheufele in Chopard. The idea behind the brand is to recreate the watches of the late master watchmaker Ferdinand Berthoud – but reimagined and modernized.
The FB1L is one of the latest creations from the brand itself. While the original creation featured a large negative space, the FB1L features a patented power reserve indicator and an “age of the moon” complication, in addition to a large central seconds hand and a subdial to indicate the time. This is all packaged in an octagonal case with a round bezel and face. The idea is bold, but it works well on this watch.
The surprises don't stop at the dial. The movement – Caliber FB-T.FC.L. – is certainly a treat, with excellent finishes and different technical details. It also features some of the most sought-after complications, such as the giant tourbillon (measuring 16.5mm) and the fusée-and-chain system. For Swiss Replica Watches collectors, this is a visual treat.
MB&F HM9 "Flow" In the world of horology, MB&F has undoubtedly cemented itself as one of the luminaries of independent watchmaking.
One of the brand's latest creations under the Horological Machine series - the HM9 "Flow" - continues Maximilian Büsser's previous creations. The HM9 is inspired this time by classic cars and aircraft, most notably the Mercedes-Benz W196 race car and the stylish De Havilland Venom aircraft. The end result is an organic-looking sculpture that, admittedly, looks more like a work of art than a chime. But then again, this is where MB&F offers something different from almost the rest of the crowd.
The titanium-cased HM9 "Flow" is powered by an in-house hand-wound movement. The movement also incorporates two completely independent balance wheels with planetary differentials, and a vertical chronograph display. The HM9 "Flow", is a great choice for anyone looking to wear a piece of art on their wrist.
Urwerk UR-120 The brainchild of Felix Baumgartner and Martin Frei, Urwerk is another staple in the independent watchmaking world with its cool and ultra-modern watches.
The UR-120 aka Spock is the latest creation from the brand, paying homage to Vulcan in a fun way. Here, instead of using the usual satellite pointer (or wandering time display), Urwerk has added another element to the hour scale: it can now be split in two, as shown in the image above (focus on the 11 mark on the far left) . In addition to this, the latest novelties now come with slimmer cases and new movements.replica Jacob and Co. Astronomia Sky
This is not a rework of the UR-110; it is a complete rework given the technical details required to implement the changes. The new UR-120, aka Spock, is an impressive piece of art that almost ranks it among the best on the scene.
De Bethune DB28 steel wheels When it comes to independent watchmakers, De Bethune is on a par with the likes of MB&F and Urwerk. The stunning DB28 steel wheels will tell you why.
De Bethune's DB28 collection has achieved a certain cult status among collectors for its modern and avant-garde watchmaking. This includes the exposed movement, the crown at 12 o'clock, and the patented floating lugs. The finish is also as spectacular as it gets. This includes the Bethune ripples on the triangular bridges, the black finish on the concave dial, and the blue moon phase sphere for which the brand is often known. In fact, we can be sure that words alone cannot do justice to the completion of this article.
Overall, the DB28 steel wheels are simply amazing. It's stunning, but the finish is another level entirely. This watch, we believe, is a truly incredible thing - especially for someone who appreciates the finer things in life.best replica Grand Seiko
Greubel Forsey Tourbillon 24 Seconds Architecture Known as one of the finest manufacturers with the finest finishing techniques, Greubel Forsey naturally produces some of the most incredible timepieces we have ever seen. The new tourbillon 24-second architecture, which debuted earlier this year, is no exception.
Based on the concept of a city and its architecture (hence the name), this watch has a rather interesting construction that sees the movement fully exposed and integrated into the design of the timepiece. This also allows collectors to fully enjoy the timepiece's legendary craftsmanship, much of which is reflected in the movement components.
The imposing 47mm timepiece is jaw-droppingly housed in the brand's now-signature curved case. Every element of the watch is truly excessive - but then again, Greubel Forsey operates at the extremes of the spectrum. Of course it's a good ending.
There's no denying that each of these six timepieces - among many others - is incredible in its own way. But there's definitely something special about them.
This is why we advocate independent watchmaking. The ideas are almost endless, and the craftsmanship of some of these watches is simply outstanding. It's almost unrivaled, and it makes you respect their daring - and remember that it comes with a very high risk of failure. Even a brand as successful as MB&F had its early dark days.
The world of independent watchmaking is incredible, and we've only covered the tip of the iceberg. For collectors, especially those who can afford it, we highly recommend that you consider purchasing a timepiece from an independent watchmaker - we guarantee you will be amazed by this watch and the whole experience.replica Breitling Endurance Pro
